I began a project this winter documenting the industrial areas in south Seattle on each side of the Duwamish river.

This image, shot below the 1st Ave. S bridge, reminded me of tori gates I've seen in Japan.

The b/w tones seemed to best accentuate the mood of the place and the cloudy day.
